I bought this True Survivor 1954 olds nintey eightsedan from a gentleman from cedar falls Iowa who had owned it since 1972. He gave me his original bill of sale from 1972 and the inspection receipt from the new car dealership who sold it to him showing 29215 miles on it when he purchased it. this car also comes with a ton of mechanic books and notes. All documents and history go with the sale. He used it, I was told, until the 45k miles on it now and had it stored for a few years beforeI found out about it and bought it. The car ran great when I picked it up. I drove it on my trailer then brought it home. I put it a new battery and it fired up no problem. I drove it around for the video and in town and the trans shiftedall of the gears like it should. There is only one brake working on the car, it stops but you will want to finish them up for continued use. The car did not overheat and all of the gaugesare working best I can tell. The radio turned on but I could not get it to play. The gas tank needs to be cleaned out so I ran it off a aux gas tank that comes with the car. The tires hold air but look older etc. The interior of this car looks amazing for being a survivor original etc. I was really impressed by it for not being restored etc. very usable the way it is. The body is overall solid. The previous owner started to sand down some of the cosmetic blemishes. You can finish it up or leave it the way it is. I personally really dig the character. The underside frame looks good. The exhaust while there has holes in it in spots. The windshieldhas a crack in the upper right pass corner. I saw a small crack in the rear passenger vent window other wise glass looks good. Best to watch the video and look at the 90 plus pics at the end of it and call me with questions as I am not a expert on 54 oldsmobile cars.
