Overview Of Entire Vehicle: *Condition #2- (Stunning Original Survivor)

Here is an absolutely beautiful all original 1957 Oldsmobile Super 88 4dr Hardtop in excellent condition inside and out. This is a rare find as it is a true survivor wit only one repaint in its entire life. It is in its stunning original color of Gold Mist Metallic with a Vermillion red stripe set within the side chrome moldings. The car shows 82k miles which we believe to be original as it is in impeccable condition. The interior is all original and is like entering a time warp with the seats still covered in plastic. You just do not find them like this at all anymore. The body is straight as an arrow and is completely rust-free from top to bottom. Most of the chrome and trim appears to be all original, it has its original 371ci "Rocket" V8 and transmission that runs like a top. It truly drives like an 82k original miles car as it is nice and tight and solid. This car is on consignment with us from a local car collector that is moving and needs to part with a few of his collectibles. You just do not find cars like this very often, especially a '57 Oldsmobile which is an ultra rare find in an amazing color combination. All-around it is a spectacular and gorgeous car. Do not wait on this one as these 50's type classics are getting harder and harder to find and skyrocketing in value as they are getting more and more popular. At the price we are asking for this you would never even come close to be able to restore one in this good of condition even if you got the starter car for free.

Exterior: *Condition #2-

The exterior of this Oldsmobile looks absolutely stunning, finished in its factory Gold Mist Metallic with a Vermillion red stripe set within the side chrome moldings. It has a super straight body, amazing chrome and trim, and excellent fit and finish throughout. It has a very clean, crisp and unmolested look to it that just screams class. It will show wonderfully at any car show, just cruising around or even a judged Oldsmobile show. The car just has a wonderful stance to it and looks beautiful. It has had only one repaint in its entire life which was probably done about 10 years ago and still shows beautifully. It appears that all of the chrome and trim to be all original and in stunning condition as well except for the rear bumper which appears to have been re-chromed. All of the glass, emblems and lenses are original, are crystal clear and in excellent shape. It is sitting on its original wheels and hubcaps wrapped in Coker American Classic wide white wall tires. Overall the exterior on this Oldsmobile stands above the crowd and is truly stunning. The fit and finish is excellent, all the gaps are perfect showing its never been hurt or hit. Try finding another one that looks like this.

Interior: *Condition #2-

The interior on this Oldsmobile is absolutely gorgeous and is all original. The seats still have the plastic on them to cover and protect them throughout the years and the carpet appears to have been replaced but we are not positive on that as its possible its original and just in fantastic condition still. The original steering wheel and horn ring are in beautiful condition with no visible hairlines. The dash and gauge cluster look beautiful and all the bright work looks clean and shiny like the day it was made. The dash pad is in very good condition and looks fantastic. The original headliner is in beautiful condition and the original door panels look great as well. The weatherstripping appears to have all been replaced on the car and is soft and supple. The courtesy lights, heater/defroster, horn and directionals all work. The wipers, clock and the AM radio do not appear to work but would be easy fixes. All of the windows roll up nice and smooth, all of the glass looks perfectly clear and has beautiful chrome trim throughout. Inside the trunk has been nicely redone and is super clean and includes the correct spare, jack and jack instructions. Overall the interior of this Oldsmobile looks amazing and is sure to please.

Mechanically: *Condition #2-

Mechanically this Oldsmobile is in excellent condition and runs like a top with its original 371ci "Rocket" V8 and transmission. The engine may have been rebuilt as it appears to have been removed when it was fully detailed but we do not have any documentation for that. The transmission shifts excellent and smoothly through the gears with no problems whatsoever. You just don't find classic cars that run and drive this great unless they are original which pretty much proves the low original miles on the car. It does have bias-ply tires and would run even smoother on radials but these are the correct style that should be on the car. Overall the car runs and drives excellent and doesn't need a thing mechanically and is ready to be driven and enjoyed for years to come.

Under Carriage: *Condition #3

The underside of this Oldsmobile is extremely clean, untouched and solid as a rock. It is totally 100% rust-free, never had any repairs and the suspension is clean and tight as it should be. The exhaust is original and correctly exits the rear bumper hols as it should. Overall it is very clean and dry and exactly the way you would want to find and expect a low mileage southern car to be.
