1984 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Regency

This 1984 Oldsmobile 98 Regency sedan was soldnew by West Penn Chevrolet Oldsmobile of Leechburg, Pennsylvania. The 98 model was the top of the line in 1984and the full size flagship for Oldsmobile.

The exterior is finished in Desert Sand Grayand features a full vinyl roof, fender mounted lighting indicators, as well aschrome bumpers and matching accents along each side.

The interior is upholstered in a plush burgundy velour with matching door panels and carpeting, and burl woodgrain trim accentsthe dashboard. Amenities include apower-adjustable front split seat with a folding center armrest, powerwindows, power door locks, cruise control, air conditioning, a cassettestereo, and a remote trunk release.

The car is powered by a 5.0-liter (307 cubicinch) V8 paired with a four-speed automatic overdrive transmission. Factory 15″ steel wheels are fitted withchrome wire-style hubcaps and wrapped in new whitewall striped tires allaround. This was the last year of the fullsize Olds 98 that included fender skirts.

This car remained with the original owner until2019, when it was donated to a well-known charity and sold at a charityauction. We obtained this exceptional vehicle at that auction. There is 126,000miles on this meticulously well maintained Olds 98. According to the background from the owner,this vehicle was used for trips to Florida and upstate New York to visit familyand was garage kept the entire time. The 126,000 miles appears to be primarilyhighway miles and the condition of the car shows that. This car shows very welland shows as good as low mileage Cadillacs of the same vintage that I haveowned.

This car recently passed a requiredPennsylvania safety inspection and is valid until December 2020.
