1970 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser

Thanks for taking a look at our cool 1970 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser. She's retired from the movie lot and is awaiting a return to her original glory.

The Vista Cruiser was cool the day it arrived! Those space age overhead portals served up the promise of seeing the world in all of her glory. And those rear visors! Not too much sun please!

She's a Time Capsule found in just the shape you want. Well optioned, Original Lady pilot owner, Western car, books and records. Yes, even the original MSRP, Protecto Plate, owners manuals, service receipts, Original Pink Slip and Both California Blue license plates. Even a full pouch of Los Angeles area AAA maps.

Rarity

Few and far between, Vista Cruisers are sought after by hot rodders and day 1 restorers alike for their iconic good looks and easy to source GM parts..

Exterior

Well, it was a nice medium blue from the data plate but at some point a light blue was applied. It's an inferior paint job typical of cars the shows use for background shots. Faux wood vinyl was added but like the paint, it is best at 20 feet or so.. Upon close inspection, rust is present on the body panels and roof. We don't see anything structural but your inspection is recommended.

Interior

Seating for Nine with a Forward facing third seat. Good glass. Rare Chrome plated Vista Glass. The interior needs it all but the bones are strong and all there. Air conditioning is all there but not blowing cold. Compressor turns freely and the belt is still on.

Wheels, Tires

3 correct wheel covers. 1 Pontiac unit.Tires are too old but work as rollers.

Engine

350 CID 4BBL Oldsmobile Rocket V8 runs and sounds ok. Started right up after a fuel system clean out. We only ran her for a few minutes and recommend a complete inspection and systems check prior to any driving.

Front power disc brakes, rear drum

The trim is in fair to good shape. See pics. This is a project.

Glass is in fair to good condition throughout.
