1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass

1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible History The Oldsmobile Cutlass was a marque of automobiles produced by General Motors' Oldsmobile division between 1961 and 1999. At its introduction, the Cutlass was Oldsmobile's smallest model and it began as a unibody compact car but saw its greatest success as a body-on-frame intermediate. Over time the Cutlass name accumulated great brand equity, becoming not only Oldsmobile's best-selling model but one of the most popular nameplates in the industry in the 1970s. Why This Car Is Special This 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible we have at Skyway Classics is a great car to cruise in with the top down and enjoy a car from the 60's. It's done in red with a black top and interior with a modified 350 Oldsmobile engine with great comfort and convenience features. Mechanics It is powered by a modified 455 cubic inch Oldsmobile Rocket V8 Big Block that packs a punch. It is painted red to match the car, has an aluminum Edelbrock intake, chrome air cleaner, red Edelbrock valve covers, modified distributor, performance spark plug wires, power steering, and power brakes. The tranny is an automatic shifted by a custom B&M T-Handle shifter putting the power to the rear which also has performance shocks and a rear sway bar too. You can hear the great exhaust rumble out the rear via dual exhaust tips under the bumper. The Cutlass rides on red painted factory Olds Rally wheels and B.F Goodrich Radial T/A tires. Interior The Cutlass has a black bucket seat interior with a leather wrapped steering wheel, factory gauges as well as performance gauges under the dash. It has a nice-looking black convertible top and the trunk is finished in trunk paint and even has a fifth Rally wheel and tire as spares. Exterior Our 1969 Cutlass has a now-Olds trademark split grille with vertical bars and vertical taillights. The bright red paint is complimented by good chrome trim and bumpers, grille, and the Oldsmobile rocket side marker lights gives the Olds a lot of street appeal with that paint and being a 60's car and a convertible too. Conclusion The Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible we have here at Skyway Classics is a great car to take to car show and cruises or anywhere you just want to enjoy an open air car.
