1948 Oldsmobile 68 Convertible

Wonderful car. Totally rust free with no accident or rust repair anywhere on the car. More pictures available to any interested buyer.
This car was a California car sold new at Murphy Oldsmobile in Los Angeles to a respected allergy doctor. It was primarily used by his wife as her personal driver car. Their primary car was a chauffeur-driven Rolls. They eventually took this car to their Washington State cabin to use as a Sunday car at their vacation home.
According to the paperwork with the car, it was sold after fifteen years to another doctor practicing in Washington State in the town of Colville. He kept the car only a year and passed it on to a lab tech at the same medical facility in Colville. he kept the car until 1978.
The car went to the Greenman family where a father and son would oversee the complete restoration of the car during the 1980's. They sold it in 1989 and the car came to Connecticut where it has remained until today.
The paint is excellent. Just a step below show. It has been buffed to an incredible shine as can be seen in the pictures. There is no rust or bondo anywhere in the car.
The top is new and I've never put it down. The interior is also excellent. The leather is nice, the brightwork and instruments are all excellent.
The engine bay is also spotless. It is very clean and indicative of the overall condition of the car.
The car starts easily and runs beautifully. The emergency brake works, the windows all go down and up easily. The transmission shifts smoothly. the brakes are also excellent and stop the car confidently.
This is a car that needs nothing other than a loving home. Its been well cared for since it was new and is ready to be a proud Sunday driver for anyone
