1967 Oldsmobile Toronado

Sleek, interesting, and distinctive. This 1967 Oldsmobile Toronado is quite original inside and out. Plus, with a recently rebuilt V8 drivetrain, this is the affordable survivor you're going to love to drive.
For some of us this represents everything that was so cool about the '60s. Not only was it the muscle car era, but also automakers weren't afraid to try something as bold as the Toronado. With its extra long hood, hidden headlights, muscular wheel arches, and rounded rear that almost looked like the future 2nd gen Firebird, this car embodied sporty elegance. The design was so advanced it doesn't look over 50 years old today! So when a classic is this significant, you want to make sure an Olds like this is being presented correctly. That's why we love it's still wearing the same application of Sautene Gold that was applied at the Lansing plant over half a century ago. This survivor paint isn't perfect, and that's because it wears its history with pride. But what really makes this total package distinctive is how complete it is. The badging, trim, turbine-style wheel covers, and form-fitting chrome bumpers makes this an outstanding vintage machine.
Inside is an exceptionally well-preserved interior that is nicely detailed in the original champagne and gold. You immediately see the impact front-wheel drive has on a luxury car like this. The flat floor means you can have genuine space for three in both rows of seats. If you want more individual comfort, the armrest on the front split-bench makes this feel like an expansive personal luxury car. From behind the wheel you experience all the best '60s design has to offer. The deluxe Olds steering wheel is a work of art set in black and chrome. Beyond that, the original gauge package shows that a designer spent some time getting extra creative. All the controls are within an arm's reach, including the power seat, power windows, and updated R134a air conditioning.
While this is a survivor on the exterior and interior, they made a wise investment with the motor. The 425 cubic-inch V8 was freshly painted and rebuilt (it's an era-correct block.) This means you have a powerhouse that both looks terrific and fires up smoothly. The Super Rocket big block makes some of the best power of the era thanks to the factory Rochester Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor. These cars were considered revolutionary with the THM-425 three-speed automatic transmission (rebuilt 5k miles ago) powering the front wheels. In fact, this first-generation Toronado became an engineering benchmark for other projects. But what you really want to know is how this one glides down the road like a true big block luxury car should. Features like the power steering, front disc brakes, and modern Hankook tires give this a true smooth feeling.
This car has been under the same owner's care for the last 35 years. So not only has the drivetrain received the right investments, but also it comes with the maintenance records, protect-o-plate, and owner's manual. And with a price like this, you know it will be gone soon. Call today!!!
