Description:

1969 Oldsmobile 442

If 442s are your drug this car is crack. This is a one owner, complete, almost rust free 442 ragtop 4 speed with AC in the highly desirable color combo of black with red interior. It was bought new by a Colonel in the military and he gave it to his daughter who drove it for a few years and then sold it to a guy who immediately sold it to me. It is all original and numbers matching from bumper to bumper. I even have the correct carb. I removed the front clip entirely, patched each fender down low, inspected the lower cowl for rust (there was none), cleaned the motor compartment up and put it back together. I also pulled the nasty old carpet out and patched the drivers side front floor pan and cleaned the rest of the floors real good and sprayed them in a red epoxy primer. The hood, doors, trunk lid and trunk floor are rust free. The hood and deck lid have been stripped and sprayed in a black epoxy primer. The only rust left to deal with is each rear quarter needs a patch down low about the bottom 4". They don't get much more solid than this. I went thru the brakes and installed new master cyl, wheel cyls and brake hoses. It still has its original with vin stamp on block 400 and it starts right up and runs good. It also has its numbers matching Muncie trans with the orig shifter with 442 stamped on it and orig 12 bolt rear with sway bar. It also a bucket seat console car which is much more desirable than the usual bench seat version. In addition to AC it has power steering and power top and the top works good but has rips. The interior obviously needs the usual seat covers, carpet, door panels, ect but it is a very unmolested car in a very desirable color combo. The only reason I am putting it up for sale is I am in the process of moving and need to reduce my inventory. I also have a new windshield, 2 good tail light and reverse light lenses to replace the damaged ones and I have the wood grain for the glove box door. The front bumper is brand new and I restored the grill back to its orig colors. The rear bumper is fine but needs a rechrome and I think I even have the orig jack.
