1941 Olsmobile Coupe 36,000 miles no rust nice interior decent paint
1941 Oldsmobile 66
1941 Oldsmobile Club Coupe, Model 66. Six cylinder, automatic transmission. No rust anywhere on car, including underside and floors. Very nice original interior with only two tears - on drivers seat back near top, and on top middle of rear seat by rear window. No water stains anywhere on upholstery, headliner or door panels. Motor is in fine condition, great oil pressure, electrical system works and charges, no noises. It startsright away, cold or hot. Heat riser valve works. Headlights and taillights work, has turn indicators.
The hydramatic transmissionwill not shift into 4th gear. It either needs adjustment ornew seals. It does not slip, just wont go into 4th, so it is probably a rubber seal that deteriorated from age affecting oil pressure in the high gear circuit. 1-2 shifts are fine. The car has new 15" wheels and new radial tires so it drives, steers and rides great. Theoriginal 16" wheels, hubcaps and good bias ply tires included. Brakes are new but need adjustment as they pull to the right. I put at hundreds of miles on this car and it is a pleasure to drive. It runs cool, even in 90 degree heat. B
It has a brand new gas tank, and electric fuel pump. I have the old gas tank, which is not rusty. Carburetor was rebuilt, new brake cylinders.
The car has 33,100 actual miles. Oil change stickers on door jambs show maintenance done in the 1960s and 1970s. The car has an interesting history - owned by spinster school teacher in St. Cloud MN, was in storage for 40 years etc. Oil change stickers document some of this. The original manual, hydramatic brochure and heater instruction card, registration are in the glove box.
This car would make a great street rod, as it is completely solid and all of the rubber body mounts, motor mounts, A-arm bumpers and rubber rear suspension components are in unbelievable condition. All of the door and window weatherstrip are still supple and functional. Original date coded 1941 safety glass with no defects, leaks or rattles. Call me if you need more information, Keith 763-486-2332. I do not need help selling car, so no brokers please.
Car is right outside of Minneapolis, and there are several good antique car appraisers in this area which you can find online. I will need cash or cleared check to release car and title to buyer or agent. A $500 paypal deposit will hold the car for 2 weeks prior to payment. It will be relisted if sale is not completed by that time
