Description:

1967 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight

I have a 1967 Oldsmobile 98 Convertible with 425 Super Rocket engine, odometer reads 51,600 miles, steel-belted radial tires, power steering & brakes, factory A/C, new battery, power windows, power seat, tilt-telescope wheel, AM/FM, barn find.Dash is good w/no cracks. Interior is fair with a couple cracks in vinyl seats.Engine fires right up and runs smoothly. Previous owner said miles are original. Sat for several years indoors.

Needs: new top (original rear glass is intact), cross-beam on convertible frame is bent (replacement part included – see pics in link below), re-chrome rear bumper, and some bodywork (lots of scuffs & scratches). Also not working: R front power window, fuel gauge sending unit, courtesy lights, horn and windshield is cracked on driver’s side.L fenderskirt was damaged during a blown tire years ago, as well as L rear quarter panel and bumper looks to be bent at a slight angle from that. I purchased a set of used fenderskirts and painted one to match for now.

Bad news: I was prepared to do the above restoration but I didn’t get a good look at the undercarriage and later found that the frame is mostly rusted out on both sides and will need to be replaced. So, this car can be driven for short distances but is not road-ready until frame is replaced.I located a rust-free frame in Arizona for $2500+shipping and can forward the contact info upon request.Frame-off restoration is beyond my pay grade.

Extras: loose trim, 1 R fenderskirt, 1 rust-free cross beam to replace bent convertible frame and original owner's manual.

This project car will make a sweet cruiser or low rider for the motivated buyer. More pics and a video here: ow.ly/fN1v30cybHZ
