To be considered investment grade, a classic must meet certain parameters. For starters, the car must be in absolutely PERFECT condition, and it helps to have some form of documentation of either a thorough restoration or serious owner history. By those standards, this incredible 442, a fully documented car that stayed with its original owner for 43 years, is definitely investment grade. It wraps an original (born with) 455/4-speed/Aluminum Rear drivetrain in its original color scheme of RED on WHITE hues. These stunning visuals were achieved through a $100K (PLUS), body-off restoration on a ONE OWNER CAR. Since world class GM A-Bodies continue to be a sure bet for impressive gains and solid returns, this car is easily some of the hobby's most desirable metal!
Collector owned, this very well known car in the Olds community is being made available for the first time. This is probably one of the finest, if not THE FINEST, W-27 equipped W-30 cars you'll ever see. During the restoration, what wasn't original to the car was purchased from GeorgeBerejik himself, owner of the famed Berejik Olds dealership in Needham MA, from his vast collection of NOS GM parts! The car rolls on the very attractive SS-1 wheels, which spin re-pop G70-14 Firestone Wide Oval Super Sports around mirrored trim rings and rocket-branded center caps. Again all NOS parts!
Inside this impressive Oldsmobile you'll find a correct Parchment interior that, in the realm of performance-focused muscle cars, is both classy and upscale. At the center of the car, correct, stainless-trimmed seats ride fresh carpet. At the sides of those seats, fresh door panels center familiar GM armrests in bright chrome handles, straight stainless trim and fresh wood applique. A wood-trimmed dash hangs deluxe Rallye Pac telemetry above factory AM audio. At the base of that dash, a factory console frames a legendary Hurst shifter. In front of the driver, a Sport / Tilt Steering Wheel emblazoned with a bright rocket emblem. And behind the passengers, a restored and decaled trunk props a fifth and spare wheel with a fifth Firestone tire on the original correct jack assembly - oh yeah, and the trunk mat - it's ALSO NOS!!
Some of the car's highlights:
This car was purchased from the ORIGINAL OWNER with the intention of doing a full frame-off, show level restoration, we have photos of the car and the owner when it was new (actual photographs).
We have the original broadcast card as found in the car, it is a Lansing built car and the build date is 11B.
It is the "born with engine" and includes the famed "F" cylinder heads, the extremely hard to find 7040256 W-30 manual transmission carb, the Aluminum W-455 intake casting # 406115, M-21 4-speed transmission, the unobtainable W-27 aluminum rearend with 3:91 gear ratio, both W and Z exhaust manifolds, and the unique to W-30/4-speed cars; the 1111979 distributor!
This car MUST BE SEEN to be believed, I've tried to take honest pictures and have over 200 of them for those that are interested in seeing them, I also have a video of the car being backed out of the owner's garage and driven a bit down his driveway. This car has only been driven 120 miles since it's completion, 80 miles was accumulated when the car was being delivered, like I said it is a show car.
We are presenting this car to those well heeled buyers that know what they want, and they must have the best of the best. Please call if you are interested.
NO TRADES thank you...
