Vehicle Details

This 5-speed 1982 example comes finished in Platinum Metallic over a block vinyl interior. Moreover, it features sporty removable T-Tops with the original factory storage bags and a rear fiberglass wing. It was acquired by the seller from its second owner less than a year ago and has undergone a major engine service including full fan belt replacement, replacement of the clutch master & slave cylinders, front-to-rear brake hard line, all brake pads, brake fluid flush, engine oil and filter change, spark plugs replaced, ignition wires replaced, ignition control module replaced, ignition coil replaced, distributor cap and rotor replaced, engine air filter replaced, passenger side floor pan replaced, front and rear speakers replaced, and headlights replaced. The car also features upgraded LED interior courtesy and dome light bulbs. Subsequent touch-up paintwork also encompassed various parts of the car. The windshield needs to be replaced. The car is decorated with black B-pillar trim, 280ZX fender badges, and 14”x6” factory 4-spoke wheels in a flat black finish. The car rides on a set of nearly new Toyo Extensa A/S II tires. Some surface corrosion is present on the rear hatch tracks and the seller notes the car has been garage-kept and meticulously maintained during their ownership. The cabin is upholstered in silver/black with black carpets and headliner. Accessories include manually adjustable upgraded Nissan sport seat covers, power windows and door locks, a two-spoke steering wheel, air conditioning, an original Datsun AM/FM radio cassette deck and a triple gauge cluster in the center dashboard housing a quartz clock, a battery voltage meter, and an oil pressure dial. The seller notes a crack is present on the dashboard. This 280ZX is equipped with a naturally aspirated 2.8 L L28E inline-6 fuel-injected engine rated at 135 HP and 144 lb.-ft of torque, which drives the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox. The seller states that the engine is original to the car and has never been rebuilt, however, the engine and transmission were serviced. There is a tiny oil leak present which is believed to be coming from the oil drain plug washer.
