The Spartan II is designed by Ron Sparks, whose past includes the design of the Clenet, The design of the Spartan II was influenced by the 1934 Mercedes 500K in particular. Built by luxury auto builder Ned Lamoureux in his San Marcos, California factory. Sparks built autos for such television shows as Flamingo Road and Dallas. In the tradition of coach-built cars like Duesenberg, Rolls Royce, Packard, and Cadillacs of the 20s and 30s. Construction centers on the superior engineering and performance abilities of the Nissan 300 ZX 6-cylinder engine with auto transmission. These hand-built luxury coach built bodies are mounted only on a Nissan 300 ZX chassis after being stretched 23 inches. All mechanical service can be performed at any Nissan dealership. The Spartan II is NOT a kit car. 15 coats of paint - Six gold plated custom hub caps.
