1984 Nissan 300ZX TITLE IS DATSUN/NISSAN

Up for auction 1984 Nissan Datsun 50th Anniversary Edition. The car has several issues including, badly leaking passenger side rear disc brake caliper, head liner is wasted, faulty headlight turn signal switch in steering column, intermittent digital dash that occasionally goes off and comes back on with a tap also the transmission leaks fluid. Not an amount where you have to put fluid in it every three or four times you drive it but it it is considerable because it does it even while sitting. The transmission also will slip from a stop butt grabs solidly after a couple miles per hour and no matter how hard you punch it, after it has engaged, it doesn't slip. It downshifts on the highway properly and holds on hard acceleration and I haven't even as much as looked at the transmission filter. My original intention was to drive the car till the tranny went out and do a swap manual 5-speed with a clutch but the transmission never got any worse and I have driven the car as it was probably about seven thousand miles. I charged the air conditioner when first got the car and till the time I stop driving it the air conditioner held its refrigerant. I replaced the rear hatch door with a 1986 because of a broken glass and painted it the same color so it's got a plastic spoiler instead of the rubber ducky. As far as Rust goes it is one of the most rust free examples that you will find except for a garage sitter the car originated in the south and it is very clean underneath. Also free with the purchase of the 50th anniversary is a second 1985 titled 300ZX That has an issue with the electrical system that no one can find can figure out. The car was running fine and I was driving it till one day it would die with the slightest pressure on the accelerator pedal. I change the mass airflow sensor as well as the ECU and no difference. ????? It's got new shocks all the way around but this car has rust underneath and its considerable. But it's free with the purchase of the 50th. If you dont want ill have it towed but lots of good parts anyway. The reserve on the cars is the $1100 I was offered for them by a junkyard PLUS THE COST OF THE EBAY AD. if you were to bring a car hauler and another driver/helper, you could take the right rear caliper off the black car,i THINK ITS THE SAME, and stick it on the 50th with a new battery and topping off the fluids you could probably drive it thousand miles to your destination but I can't guarantee it of course. They've been sitting for more than 2 years. The tread on the tires is pretty good but they are old. Both cars have clean titles in my name and I really want to think that the 50th would get back on the road. It would be a shame to part out the 50th to repair some old rust buckets out there cuz it's well worth repairs. Great core. If the buyer wants the black car but cant; take both away at once you can have up to two or three weeks to get it b4 I have it towed I keep the title till you get it. I should mention that this car the, black 85, had just had the timing belt and water pump replaced replaced b4 the electrical problem started so it would be a great donor engine for a better shape z and almost unused shocks all the way around complete car. As far as the timing belt on the 50th anniversary If what the previous owner said was true he had just replaced It but couldnt document it, so you be the judge. If he did replace it then the belt has about 10,000 miles on it. The 50th anniversary Has a good stereo in it and a new intergrated amplifier for the BODY SONIC feature in the seats and it worked well if you cranked up the bass and volume lol.; ANYWAYS I caution anyone not familiar with z31 cars, about the ins and out of the hobby as far as parts and availability of service for them so Im really suggesting that anyone without access to help familiar wit these cars to keep this cautionary warning in mind! PS to the z fans I had a custom made speedometer cable made from tranny to speed controller so that is done! The clock on the 50th has about 87,000 miles on it but the speedometer cable was broken so no way to tell. The black car was i believe less than 120,000 Its been a longer time since I had driven it but I believe the speedo was working
