Offered is an Exceptional and Rare 1940 Nash LaFayette Deluxe 2 Door Cabriolet with only 77,641 Miles on the odometer in running order. Classic Lines, Beautiful Color and in Unmolested Factory Trim. ALL ORIGINAL as she rolled off the assembly line.
The only option on this beautiful LaFayette is the Dealer installed and Very Rare, OVERDRIVE.
Vollmer Motors, an Original Nash Dealership, Purchased this Gem in 1973, unrestored. It was driven from New Kensington, PA, to the Vollmer Dealership. The LaFayette was dissasembled, Frame Cleaned and Painted, New Brakes and Lines installed. The Engine was Rebuilt by Factory Trained Mechanics. The Body was Stripped, Repainted and Reassembled. The Complete and Original Restoration was Completed in 1977. The LaFayette was then used periodically for Car Shows and Parades. It was last Driven in 2002 and then retired to the Center of the Showroom at Vollmer Motor Sales and Repair in New Brigthon, PA where she was the topic of many conversations including the History of Nash Automobiles.
On May 11, 2020, the LaFayette was serviced, inspected, mechanically verified functional and started. She will pass a Pennsylvania State Safety Inspection as equipped with new tires.
