Description:

1962 Nash Metropolitan Base

This car came from a large collection that has been stored for the past 30+ years, and is a barn find. I have the original title however the auction company made me sign the back. Options open for title or bill of sale. The car was built in the oct 1960 period, but wasn't titled until 1962 then re titled in 1965 but the title wasn't transfered until 1967, after talking with the owners son he told me that his dad drove it from the shop to the barn where it sat since 1967. I think mice moved in next to the A pillars and through the years the "moisture" rusted the front fenders and rocker panels. The floor pans look solid. The interior needs cleaning but is in very good condition, no tares. Have original keys, all 4 hubcaps, jack and lug wrench. Most of the chrome is in good condition with the exception being the front grille bezels. One of the trunk hinges is broken, and both are pitted. The drivers side mirror is pitted. The passenger side door top hinge has come loose from the a pillar. The bottoms of the doors are solid with almost no rust, if any rust its just surface. Missing cigarette lighter, and glove box lock. I think with some tlc and a little bit of work the car could be restored fairly easily. I would rather sell as a whole then part out piece by piece. The tires are the originals and flat, the engine isn't seized, but i have made no attempts to try and start it. Some of the rubber is good and some is in need of replacing. The orange color you see in the photos is over spray primer. He had over 30 cars stacked on shelves in the barn. If you look in the upper right corner of the title photo you will notice a number 20, this was to help locate the titles after the auctuon was over. In a way the overspray actually helped keep the cars chrome in better condition. Pickup from 48063 area code. If you pay for the uhaul flatbead trailor we could load, or can put on rollers for transport. If you have any questions, or need to see more pictures then feel free to message me. Thanks.
