Description:

1980 Mini Classic Mini SPI

This 1992 Rover-made Mini Cooper Mk VI was built for European production. Until October of 2018, this car was covered under British MOT. Correct VINSAXXNNAYCBD040247
It is powered by a refined 1275cc 4 cyl mated to a 4-speed manual transmission - Right Hand Drive. This car is fairly rare as it is a first gen single port fuel injection model. It features the pop-top sunroof option and 12" wheels.
A Desirable model, it is Clean Air Exhaust Exempt in Georgia (over 25 years old) and brought to the USA as an import in 2017. Currently Titled in Georgia with a bill of sale upon purchase.
I've daily driven the car for over one year and consider it a 95% complete project car. Some minor tweaks have been performed including a complete tune by Autohaus Social by Rover mechanics less than 500 miles ago.
Additions during my ownership have included:
Seat brackets for additional legroom and improving the driving positionJ.W. Speaker 8700 Evolution 2 LED headlampsCocomats Black/Red floormatsRear hatch shelfOptima Redtop 25 size batteryLocking Fuel door12 inch Minilite replicas(originals are included in sale)
Wheels exhibit slight rubbing under cornering but the car is fantastically fun to drive and would need only slight adjustments to make it perfect. The included spacers and fender flares will likely make the rubbing go away and add a stanced look to the car.
Paint is marginal on some spots with over-sprayand okay-to-poor touch ups done by a previous owner. I'd guess the touch ups were done within the last few years to keep the car under MOT. I've considered the blemishes to be part of the charm of the car. It is scrappy andI get comments about the car every time that I drive it.
I am moving out of the country and need to sell the vehicle before I leave.
I've offered it at NO RESERVE to motivate the right owner.
Included in the sale are several spare parts as well:Original 12inch MinilitesOil filterSpare rear tail lightSpacersGroup 5 fiberglass fender archesService history documentation
I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have.
