1961 Mini Classic Mini Saloon

1961 Austin Mini Deluxe. Nickname 2 Shillings Fully documented with Heritage certificate. All port of entry documentation. Complete records of every dollar spent. Restoration fully documented in picture catalogue. Bought in 2004 and frame off restoration began. Restoration completed in 2014. Only 500 miles on restoration. Around $50,000.00 invested. The glory of taking so long to do a restoration is many of the parts on this car were not available when I started. I have to say I do not think there is a part the suppliers offer that is not on my car. I was able to defeat the inherent problems in the A+ engine such as breathing, verheating and crank vibration. Sub frames are powder coated and reinforced. All rust removed and metal replaced. Upgraded brakes, ooper on rear and 8" disc on front. Fully adjustable suspension with gas shocks. Rear sway bar. Engine: 1275 A+ bored to 1330. Dyno. Results -75 HP to wheels. Engine upgraded since Dyno. test Balanced and Blue Printed 276 Cam Fluid drive harmonic balancer. Omega Pistons 1.5 Rockers 2 breather catch cans. Headers with center exhaust and big bore twin outlet muffler. Head reworked with extra bolt added. E3 Spark plugs 1.75 carb. with internal modifications and stub stack. 123 Distributor Mad Dog magnet oil cleaner. 4 core radiator. All new tranny with bottom pick up, .76 gear and upgrades for fast road. Smiffy Bits and DSN billet parts everywhere. All fluids top of the line. Millers Classic Mini oil for engines with trans in sump. Automec Dot 5 brake fluid. Evans Waterless Coolant. Wheels are 12" Minilife Anthracite mags with Falken tires. 4 New tires and powder coated wheels to match paint to convey. Interior: Eastwood sound proofing. Custom dash with new gauges. Original refurbished speedometer. Custom shift knob with an inset 2 shillings coin found in car seat. Hence the name. Rewired for custom lighting. Under bonnet and boot as well. Sparko peddels. Custom upholstery by Paul Cho. Sound system by Alpine located in the boot. Remote Controlled. Many more unique changes and up grades.
