1954 MG TF

Beautiful California car, owned by the seller for the last 49 years, great body with red paint, very nice interior with black leather, black canvas top and tonneau cover, black side curtains. This numbers matching car underwent a frame off restoration including the rebuilding of the engine and transmission beginning in 2008 and completed in 2012. The current owner is 84 years old and no longer able to drive. It is estimated that the car has been driven less than 500 miles since restoration. This is not a show car and has a few blemishes and issues that are easily corrected by the new owner.

The chassis is in excellent condition as are the wood body frame pieces, floors, metal body mounts, jacking points, and everything else I can see underneath. The tires were new in 2012 but should be replaced before driving for any great distance. The top has a couple of small tears, the side curtain and tonneau cover are in good condition.

The small 1250cc XPAG engine provides a lively performance, excellent ride, handling, and braking. The instrument cluster needs some attention. The speedometer, oil pressure gauge and clock do not work.

TFs are among the most versatile older British sportscars...easy to service, plentiful supply of new and used parts, gorgeous lines (enhanced, in this case, by the lovely red and black color combination, nice chrome, and wire wheels), soft ride, precise steering, lovely shifting, and the spirited high revving engine

A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to be paid at the time of purchase.
Full payment must be received within 7 days of the end of the auction.
Payment can be made in the form of cash or wire transfer to my bank. I will not release the car until any form of payment has been received in my bank account.
If full payment is not received within 7 days of the end of the auction, I reserve the right to re-list the item and post a negative feedback.
