1977 Restored MGB
1977 MG MGB
RESTORED MGB - CUSTOMMADE WOOD INTERIOR (1800CC INLINE - 4-SPEED)
My 1977 MGB has gone through an extensive restoration from 2017 to 2020. The result is a fresh look everywhere from the very nice black paint to the detailed rebuilt motor. It makes for an awesomely presented European drop-top that upgrades all the best parts while never harming the authentic classic look.
This was taken down to bare metal for the restoration. The black paint has ultra-smooth sheet metal with a very distinctive white racing stripe placed over the top. The rubber bumpers, full mud guards, and customized wheels were added to contribute to that dark sinister look. proven right down to the new full-length side trim and classic stone guards for the headlights adds a great touchto this restoration.
There's a new black convertible roof that looks great against the black exterior and clean black vinyl seats. The new hand-wood accents on the door panels, dash, wheel, and center console also adds to the classic look. The trunk has a custom detailed setup designed to attract car show enthusiasts (I won a top 25 award recently). This is a unique custom build, but it never loses that terrific driver-oriented feeling of a classic British convertible. It has a unique wood shifter and steering wheel along with some very clean set of gauges.
This restoration included the engine bay. The motor was pulled out not only for the custom paint, but it also was given a new head gasket and piston rings in 2020 (see below for a long list of new components). The motor fires up perfectly. The four-speed manual transmission and the suspension were all gone over (see below the list of new components) new shocks, bushings, brake booster, and front discs were added. I also added a new retro radio that holds onto that classic look (see photo) and a new MGB muffler. I bought this from the guy that restored this, but I've decided to let it go. Let me know if you have any questions.
