1949 MGYT - Original and Complete - NO RESERVE

1949 MG T-Series

You are bidding on a 1949 MGYT. It is a very complete and original car that has not been driven or licensed since 1982. The engine will turn over. The car has been in Georgia since at least the '60s. Rust does not appear to be much of an issue on this car, as you can see in the pictures of both the top and bottom. There is some surface rust on the exterior where the paint has chipped off, but no holes. I wasn't able to finagle the spare tire from the trunk to show how nice the trunk floor is, but I can tell you it is rust-free. There is a thick folder of receipts dating to the early '70s laying on the left front seat. Although the car is right hand drive, all it would take to convert it to left hand drive would be a rack and pinion from a left hand drive MGTD, as they are identical to the MGYT ones. The way the gauges are laid out in the dash means nothing would have to be changed there for the conversion, and the pedals can easily be swapped over to the left side, as the chassis was designed for both right and left hand drive cars.
