1951 MG T-Series

Nicely presented and finely tuned, this 1951 MG TD is an exceptional example of great handcraftsmanship that was built to enjoy your favorite road.

An MG TD represents the old-world style of craftsmanship. There was a lot of Detroit iron being produced in the 1950s, but this roadster's body is proudly supported by ash wood. And because this MG is already a standout, it doesn't need a boisterous color, that's why we love the sophisticated ivory cream. It's particularly nice because this MG has the look of a lifetime of respect. So you have a deep gloss in the paint and it loves to show off the long flowing fenders and well-fitting panels. Even on a car this small, they left room for a touch of flair. It's in the mirror-like shine of the bumpers, grille surround, headlights, windshield frame, and wheel covers (including the rear-mounted spare.) These cool little roadsters are best for sunny day outings, but if the weather does turn wet, this one has you covered. Not only do you get the tan convertible top, but this also comes with the full side curtain package to help keep you dry all the way home.

The black interior looks tasteful against the cream exterior. In fact, with the dark grille slats, rubber running board grips, and convertible tonneau cover, the cream/black combo seems to flow nicely inside and out. Plus, the condition of the seats, dash, carpeting, and door panels tell you there have been good investments along the way to keep this one looking sharp. The interior is a reminder that these MGs are a great lesson in purist motoring. A grippy three-spoke steering wheel, classic Jaeger gauges, and a manual transmission - that's all you get because that's all you need. Pull the start button, and then the wind whips through the interior while you help fill it with the wonderful soundtrack from the motor.

The engine is the correct 1250 cc inline-four unit, and it has the crisp and clean appearance of a solid all-around investment. So not only does it look good, but also since the twin SU carburetors were recently rebuilt, it runs strong, too. It's a sprightly machine with a light weight body, modern Nexen tires, and independent front suspension all making it feel nimble. The drivetrain was built for you to go out and row through the gears of the four-speed transmission and get the most out of this little motor. The result is a car where you feel an instant connection in everything you do, and that kind of purist motoring is absolutely addictive.

The sale comes complete with the owner's manual and maintenance records. This is true vintage and pure motoring fun all offered for an obtainable price. Call today!!!
