Offered or sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this lovely low-mileage MGC GT Sports Coupe. This car was just purchased out of a prominent MG collection in the San Francisco Bay area where it had been stored in a climate controlled building since 1988. It's a superbly well-preserved original car with only a careful single repaint. The car still retains it's fantastic original interior. From what we can tell, the car started it's life here in the US in the state of Oregon then made it's way south to Northern California. The bodywork on this car is overall in lovely condition with good fitting panels. Paintwork is well-preserved and has a very genuine original feel to it, being an older single repaint in the car's original color. The car's brightwork and glass is exceptional all the way around, from it's anodized aluminum window trim, windshield insets, chrome bumpers- everything is in great original condition. Body rubber also looks excellent. The car's underside looks excellent and rustfree. The car's interior trim is superb and 100% original. It's in amazing condition overall with nice soft seats and supple leather, a perfect rear seat area, headliner, dashboard, wool carpets, rubber floor mats, door panels, sun visors, etc. They're all excellent originals in remarkable shape.Mechanically the car is exceptionally good. It starts briskly on the key with a little choke. Oil pressure is excellent with no smoke or noises. The healthy engine revs smooth and silky as only an original can. It's well-tuned, runs very nice with a great exhaust note. The clutch/ gearbox perform perfectly with an overdrive unit that instantly snaps into operation and engages quickly. The car feels really lovely out on the road with ample power, secure brakes and suspension. It's a comfortable long-legged distance cruiser and feels effortlessly at home around 50-60 mph. It could use an updated new tire set. The engine compartment shows clean original paint all around and is very sanitary. We have performed a brake service with a front servo replacement and a small engine tune-up.Overall, this superb original C GT is a rare find and is now just being offered on the market after a 32-year hibernation. It's an impressive and desirable low-mileage Grand Touring Coupe with great options, in a nice light crisp original color, with a handsome black leather interior. It's a lovely preserved car and is sensible investment going forward.
