1974 MG MGB --

This 1974 MGB is a nicely restored version of the affordable/fun/workable/iconic British roadster. That makes it the crisp classic that will impress you with its quality, especially for this affordable price. This car was treated to a full restoration in 2010. That means stripping it to bare metal, fixing any issues, and then laying a glossy blue on top. So this sunshine roadster will impress you with its uniform panel gap, complete trim, and overall look of quality... on the body. Plus, the metal bumpers have a mirror finish, and that's especially important on this car. By the end of 1974 the MGB traded in its chrome grille and chrome bumpers for black plastic units. That forever gave chrome bumper cars the upper hand in style and prestige. That's why earlier MGBs like this one will often cost you a little bit more, but they also hold the extra value. But more than just retaining a higher stature in the market, you can see this one is a cut-above because it has all the right additional feature, like the fog lights up front and luggage rack on the back. Plus, the Minilite-style wheels are the perfect addition to a cool British machine. The black folding roof is a newer piece that looks crisp and fits snug. So it looks great against the blue exterior paint, but for true distinction, we love taking it down to show off the tan interior against the blue. And the reason this looks so good is because there was a new full interior from Moss Motors installed during the restoration. More than just new components, they also took the time to give this one added comfort. You see this in features, like the wind deflector, cup holders, and modern AM/FM/CD stereo w/aux input and USB to power your phone. But a car like this is really all about the driving experience. That's why you get an upgraded wood-rimmed three-spoke sports steering wheel, proper Smiths gauges, and a stick shift that just falls in the perfect placement for your right hand. Under the hood is exactly what you want to see. It's proper British power with all the right investments. Leyland British rebuilt the 1800cc motor less than 7,000 miles ago. Plus, Jimmy Hilton rebuilt the dual SU carburetors. Even the electrics were upgraded, too. In fact, there are a ton of investments that really give you a superior confidence in this car. We don't have room to list them all, so call for all the details. The product of all this work is it delivers a classic roadster that fires up eagerly and runs great. Making sure that this engine stays in its sweet spot is the control of the four-speed manual transmission. And the restoration extended to suspension components, so this one feels good and tight on the road. Nimble steering, front disc brakes, and the grip of Firestone Firehawk GT tires create a terrific total package. The sale comes complete with build receipts, service manuals, and the owner's manual. It's amazing that a roadster with so much invested in it can still be this affordable. You know how desirable this example is, and we bet you're not the only one looking for a sunny day cruiser, so hurry up and call today!
