1973 MG MGB Upgraded Leather

I purchased this MG B almost 2 years ago as a winter project. Although it was imported into SC it somehow found its way to W Pa. the previous 2 owners were local. The last one had started a restoration but had passed away prior to finishing it. The body work had been finished with all rust removed, new floors installed and repainted British Racing Green, the interior was also redone with a deluxe upholstery kit including the leather seat upgrade.

The MG looked great but barely ran. What I thought was a bad head gasket turned into a complete engine rebuild, it was done by a local engine shop. All rotating and wear parts were replaced. The rest of the mechanical work is also extensive. I replaced the alternator, oil cooler, fuel tank, fuel sending unit, master brake cylinder, master clutch cylinder, clutch slave cylinder, brake pads and shoes, Clutch,, pressure plate, throw out bearing, the 2 6volt batteries were changed to 1 12 volt, all things electrical now work. The tires are new. I do not think the mileage is correct.

Last spring when I got to drive it I discovered the syncro in first gear was badly worn. It was driveable but one had to shift carefully. This past winter I replaced the transmission with one that works perfectly.

Now that the winter project MG B is finished it is time to sell and make room in the garage for the next project.It now runs, shifts and handles like new and is a hoot to drive.
