1956 MG MGA

. This is a 1956 MGA project I picked up recently in a package deal. It has been sitting forever. Looks like someone was starting to restore it. Pulled chrome, trim, fenders, etc. bought some new parts. And left it at that. The frame is a beauty. The battery boxes are clean and rustfree and as solid and nice. Looks like they were redone.. .Wire wheels with a later MGA front disc brake conversion already done. Which is nice to have.Front fenders are solid, nice and rustfree..Front right is loose, as are the rear 2. Which both need doglegs replaced. Which are included. As are new front and rear bumpers. Most everything is present though wood floorboards, battery cover, headlight assemblies, convertible top frame, and I imagine a lot of other parts are MIA. Though what is here is nice. Engine turns easily, though no clue on condition yet.Looks like it is Olde English White with Red interior. This is as about as rustfree a longtime unrestored MGA that you will find these days.Everything starts at the base, and this will be a great one to build on. I received a Oregon title and years worth of registration slips with the car. But the title has someone else down as buyer years ago. But the main problem is the vin number on that paperwork is some number that is not MGA and I can not find an assigned or other vin tag on the car they used .The factory data plate on the heater shelf is missing, as is the engine number tag, so they used neither of those. It was licensed and titled in Oregon in the 70s and then moved to California and licensed there in the mid to late 80s. Using the assigned Oregon Vin number. .Going to your DMV for an assigned vin number is probably the best way to go. Also I can get an Arizona title in my name for $300 in about 2 weeks if you want to go that route.I travel around mostly the west Coast and might be able to get it to you or close for reasonable money. I can arrange shipping to Long Beach California shippers for export for $300 no problem. MGAs are getting harder and harder to get in any shape these days. .
