Read Completely! For sale is a late 58 body style / titled 1959 MGA roadster model. This is a RESTO-MOD with originality, in the process of a comprehensive restoration. Car is not for the purest. When this is done I will not be afraid to run it across the Mecum Auction and/or it will be close to being able to go to Barett Jackson as a resto mod restoration with the classic original look. Car has been stripped down to frame and shell. All components were sand-blasted. Chassis is completely restored. Frame is coated with top coat chassis paint, and undercoated in specific areas throughout car. Body insulation and sound deadening material installed. In side of doors, trunk, hood and dash powder coated to match out side paint when applied, have paint. All component parts powder coated and all new polypropylene bushings or stock rubber completely replaced. New brake system with new master cylinder / dual brake set up with front brake power booster, as well used the original pedal set-up with a modified removable brake pad, should one want to convert back to stick. New fuel lines and new electric fuel pump. New gas tank epoxy painted and professionally coated inside by Siebert's Restoration in Elizabethtown, PA. New float / sending unit, and cap. New wire harness kits, New Glow Shift Gauges Co.out of New Jersey, found NOS vintage fog lights that were still in the original box, upgraded fuse box, additional under dash heater installed and original heater box restored, with an AC under dash unit and component parts for installation. A custom over-sized radiator was made by Wizard radiator to MGA specs to accommodate the AC. Bumper ends re-chromed, rear bumper original ordered from the MGA Germany MFG, front replacement from mg parts supplier. New top ordered from England. Have the original Tonuea cover. The original side curtains reconditioned, powder coated and new hardware / rubber seal. All inner fender skirts sand blasted, powder coated and new rubber seals with copper rivets. New 1/2" floor boards with marine plywood were custom made from a shop in Michigan, and laminated in Formica at a local cabinet shop in Lebanon, PA, and I sealed with epoxy and ends wrapped with mesh tape. New brake master cylinder, wheel cylinders, hoses brake shoes, and drums professionally turned down by Daynes Automotive in Palmyra, PA, and outer drums powder coated red. New Moss Motors interior kit, new carpet and trunk kit installed, with custom features added to doors, rear compartment and inner trunk & lid. MG / Vintage Style Retro Radio shown in dash with sale, by RetroRadio. Vintage 1959 dash plaque installed. Professionally re-upholstered MG seats from Randy's CCustom Auto in Stracuse, NY, with seat heaters installed by Giesaman's Restoration, and has removable head rests, and seat lap belt w/ detached shoulder harness. Original Rear professionally rebuilt at Giesamans restoration shop with 3.9 MGB Banjo gears, and front rack gone over as well with new seals and tie-rod ends. Leaf springs sand blasted powder coated, with new bushings and all new rubbers . New tires and tubes, wire wheels blasted, and powder coated with professionally hand painted pin-stripes by Horst Sign shop. Tint strip added to windshield by local custom auto tinting shop in Elizabettown, PA. Basic body work completed, weld repairs completed by Giesaman's Restoration, fenders under coated, new rockers, but precision work needs to be completed, all fender bolt plates were powder coated. The dash, inside doors, under hood and under trunk have been powder coated red to reduce painting and for durability. All powder coating for this car was completed by Daytona Powder House in Annville, Pa. Have the performance red paint and effex fine metallic clear for the body finish coat. All the chrome component pieces are new or re-chromed, Original grill professionally restored re-chromed at Labradis machine chrome shop in Middletown, PA, and louvers powder coated to original color. Many other details New Moss Motors MG logo carpet mats and MG logo rubber mats, carpet tire cover and trunk deluxe carpet kit installed. Has the small corner aluminum door kicks, and sill plates with custom touches. Have drive shaft and a shaft as well, bolt parts and new universal joints for custom work to be completed. Hartman drive shaft made the last one for an MGA rally race car I restored for my son. Have a newly rebuilt Borg-Warner T35 automatic transmission, linkage, and lines and is the type used in MG / MGC and V8 models, as well as Jaguars, Triumph, Austin Marina,, Volvo and GM-AMC Javlin cars. Working on finishing rebuilding a 1972 P1800 Volvo B-20 2000 cc engine. Head has been gone over, lower end waiting on Ober's machine shop to go over block if needed. Have newly rebuilt 2" SU carbs and air-filter setup tuned and ready to go by a 40 year veteran vintage Volvo specialist in New York state. Have all fluids: Rear Hypoid 80-90Oil,dot-5 brake fluid, the Type-F trans fluid, Mobile 1 European Car engine oi, Evans Coolant. Have a custom console and Austin Marina shift with MG Knob. Have all receipts and many other photos of restoration are available. Will be fabulous show car when completed, and a good daily driver. Still working toward finishing but price will continue to go up. NOTE: Clear title, mileage exempt, and is NOT a matching motor number car. All of the MGA drive train and misc original parts have been sold to someone doing an original style restoration, as well the fiberglass hardtop,if you saw the previous ads. I am building this for my wife who can not drive stick, but is ok if someone else who wants an automatic and would like to buy and finish. So just curious and putting feelers out to see if there is interest in this kind on MGA, and may build more like it to sell. I do not have to sell and will be happy to finish, but will not break my heart.
