1952 MG TD nearly no rust and partial restoration

I would like to take a little of your time and tell you the why's, wheres and and howfores as to the events that have lead to the selling of a treasured MG.
For many years, the owner, had a dream .. there were two cars he dreamt about over the years.. one ..a 550 Porsche speedster.. the other.. a MG TD..one fast and sexy.. and the other.. the quintessential British sporting look. When, after retiring, he finally had enough money.. he fulfilled his dream.He found a Rustless mid mileage MG in California and began to make it road worthy again.. New paint.BRG .Stainless steel exhaust ..engine newly gasketed and painted..Carbs rebuilt..New Radiator.. electrical made to work again.. Front end re-bushed and aligned .. new period correct tires on repainted rims. Steering wheel appears new from Moss..In fact all the spares were purchased there...A new top purchased..Rebuilt starter (original retained)and a new solenoid ..Walla!! the Old Grand Lady was humming down the street again..Life was good.. Time.. it catches us all eventually.. and this was the (owner's) time.. Now he is no longer able to actively enjoy what was once his dream.. The Porsche 550,and yes.. it was a Beck replica has been sold and is enjoying its life with a new owner.And now it is the Mg's time to be passed on.
And no, for the particulars.This car is a driver..the owner wanted to DRIVE it as all Classic Cars deserve to be USED... No rot British car.. some light surface rust on the underside..and I mean light.Someone backed into the lower radiator shell bending it in..could be straightened with a little prodding..did not affect the radiator..could have been worse.Car needs to be rewired but functions as it sits..The owner wanted to keep it as original as he could.. accordingly, the car is not perfect.. Very nice BRG paint.. runs well.. stops as it should.. drives down the road.. smokes a little..leaks a little(don't we all at that age)..tires have less than 50 miles on them. Starts right up.. no problems there.. stable in the gas tank..Has Top frame and a new top that needs to be installed on the frame.. new carpet set needs to be properly installed..Lights, hor, signals and all other lights work,At least they did when I last saw the car. It is lucas after all.Cannot find side curtainsPlease feel free and I strongly suggest that you or someone you can trust inspect the car. Call me and I will be happy to let you know anything that I can about the car. If you are looking for a damn near dry weather.. clean SOLID car that needs some sorting out..this might be the one.. I have owned several big healys. Lancias,MGB-GT's, Mercedes Benzes as well as several Vw's, Karman Ghias, Buses and so.. I have seen some rust and I know where to look..
