This rare and desirable MK2 was recently purchased from it's last caretaker/restorer from the past 12 years and was originally acquired as a 75k original mile California car by him. As testament, there is an original CA CHP sticker still on the windshield from 1974 ! According to the previous seller, this car was completely disassembled for a total nut-and-bolt redo and was found to be completely accident-free and rustfree.Details of this high quality restoration include professional bodywork and paint, new rubber kit, mostly all new chromework, professionally rebuilt and "warmed" MGB 5-main engine with new HS-6 carbs, free-flow headers, stainless exhaust system, oil cooler and lines, new Moss Motors 5-speed gearbox, 3-piece clutch kit, starter, wiring harness, completely rebuilt chassis including braking system, fuel system, front and rear suspension, new fuel and brake lines, etc. Other mechanical enhancements include electric fan, alternator, spin-on filter, electronic ignition, alloy valve cover, improved front brakes.
