1952 MG TD Offered here for your inspection and consideration is this 1952 MG TD. This TD was recently acquired from the estate of the gentleman that commissioned most of the restoration work on the car. The body is in excellent condition with straight panels and excellent panel fit. The door hinges are tight and the fit is very acceptable. The bonnet lid fits very well and the latch action is very positive. The under side is clean and the structural wood appears to be in very good condition. The car has spent years in the dry desert climate of Arizona. although it has a New England "T" Registry plaque on the dash. The interior is done in a corresponding red vinyl with black carpets and a tan canvas top and tonneau. The side curtains are also tan and in excellent condition. The numbers match engine. #17433. runs well and the gearbox is quiet and the shifts are smooth and precise. The brake and clutch both function well with adequate pedal range and dry brake hydraulics. This MG is also fitted with an accessory radiator MotoMeter that functions well. wing mounted mirrors. wind wings and positive door locks. Included with the car is an MG factory style service manual and two sets of keys. The engine compartment is the only issue that has not been seriously cosmetically addressed. Everything is complete and intact and the engine runs well with no overheating or oil leaks. but would benefit from some additional paint. polish and attention. The car has accumulated several trophies at local car shows. and is a real pleasure to drive and display. The buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance.
