Steel Bumper MGB Classic Orange with Mustard Yellow Interior Convertible
1973 MG MGB
Fun to Drive 1973 MGB Steel Bumper Convertible-- No Reserve --
With no evidence of rust or damage, this MGB is a great summer driving car. The air pump has been removed for emissions. The car has been re-painted to a 70's shade of bright orange (date unknown) and we believe the interior to be the original which is a mustard yellow color and does show wear. The black convertible top is very nice and also includes a great black tonneau cover -- see pictures. As many people know, reds and oranges are very challenging to photograph on cars. In my opinion, this is a classic orange shade reflective of the groovy 70's era. It is not a burnt orange, but a bright, fun orange.
The paint is decent with a few visible small chip areas and excess wax in the grooves. The chrome is in average condition with minor dings along door panels. With over 100K miles on the car, we think the engine has been rebuilt, but there are no records to verify the history so it is unclear when. The mechanic test drive shows that this is a running and driving car -- the engine runs great with no smoke and the transmission shifts well. The tires are in good shape with tread remaining. The carpets and door panels do show wear as detailed in the pictures. The title is a clear Kentucky title.
