"From 1975 through the 1980, the MGB's featured rubber bumpers. The bumpers appeared to be plastic; however, they were constructed from steel and covered by polyurethane. The bumper was needed to comply with American 5 mph crash tests. The vehicles height also increased by 1.5 inches to conform to standard bumper height requirements."

For sale by owner is this 1976 MGB convertible that is avery nice combination of original with some cosmetic and mechanical restoration done over the years. The odometer shows 65,000 miles and based upon our inspection we would agree, but the car is sold as exempt because the owner has no documentation. It appears to be a very well maintained original car in the original Tahiti Blue with some paint work a few years ago. The engine is the original 4 cylinder with all the smog equipment removed and a Triumph 250 carburetor added for reliability. It has the standard 4-speed manual transmission and it has power front disc brakes. The car looks and runs terrific and is now ready for a new owner.

Please remember that this car is 41 years old and not perfect.
