This is a very nice older restoration on a very straight & solid MGA. It received a complete restoration approx. 12 years ago. The paint has held up well and would be considered a strong driver condition. The chrome looks great and still shines very nicely. It had a complete engine and transmission rebuild recently at a cost of over $6000 and it runs and drives wonderfully. Makes better than new power, pulls hard in all gears, shifts up and down as new. It holds excellent oil pressure at any speed and temp. It runs cool all day and I would not hesitate to take it on trips orroadrallies. While not perfect it is a nice driver and would be perfect for local shows or to enjoy as a summer driver. It does not smoke or burn oil. The engine was properly painted and finished with correct MGAcolors and looks like new.
It has a newer top that fits well with good clear windows. The leather interior is new from Moss Motors as is the trunk carpet. It has fiveoriginalwire wheels and the correct 1600 engine with front disc brakes.
The 1600 cars are much better and safer cars thanks to the improved braking and increased HP. They can be driven in modern traffic at highway speeds and stop more quickly than earlier cars with drum brakes. It has added seat belts for safety as well as a nice periodcorrectluggage rack.
