MG: MGB Right Hand Drive
1970 MG MGB GT
One of two of my1970 MGBs up for auction. The car has been garaged for over 5 years. Need the garage space and HOA off my back. The car is a right hand drivebroughtfrom England so itlacks the pillow dash required forUS models. A new metal replacement dash come with the car. The interior is in very good shape. To the best of my recollection, the gauges and electricals worked when garaged. Irecall that either the tach or the speedometer would sometime stick andneed to be tapped.I only drove the car occasionally for a year. The overdrive was working when garaged. The car has not been started since garaged so there are probably the usual fuel and engine issues. The top of the left rear quarter panel was damaged in a garage accident. The rest of the shell is solid as are the rockers, doglegsand floorboards. The paint is cracking and peeling so there is some surface rust and bubbling.Needs a set of tires
I had a fantasy ofcombiningthe best parts of this car with the 1970 split bumper MG alsoup for auctionand stockpiling the spare goodies.I realize that is not going to be done by me.So instead of letting the cars sit and deteriorate further, I have setlow reserve prices so the carscan go tosomeonewith moretime and motivation. The overdrive, wire wheels and axels on this car together are well worth the reserve priceto upgrade yourpresent MG.The car is being sold as it without warranties or guarantees.
