1988 Mercury Colony Park LS Station Wagon (Like Country Squire) Only 75k Miles Extremely NiceLocation: Clackamas/SunnysideThis wagon really is in great shape. It looks runs and drives just as it should. Dual power seats. Climate Control. AC converted to R134. Cruise Control. Tilt Wheel. Everything works but the radio and the side mirrors sometimes don't want to go up and down.
I purchased it out of a estate It had been sitting since 2009. New brakes and I had the exhaust done from the cats back to the tail pipe as it was a little louder then it should be. Major tune-up performed. Exterior has been repainted the original color at some point and the Di-Noc wood grain vinyl is in surprisingly good condition with a few spots here and there pealing back.
Interior is preserved nicely. No rips or tears in the leather and the carpet looks fantastic. The headliner in the back cargo area has a tear where it apparently was damaged when loading cargo. It has been glued back up and is certainly not perfect. (See pictures) Patch of surface rust on the tailgate but none anywhere else. It is and has been a non-smoker's car.
This generation of Colony Park saw few changes during its thirteen-year lifespan. For 1983, t became the sole full-size Mercury wagon as the previous year's 'base' Marquis wagon was no longer offered as a full-size model. In 1986, he 5.8L engine made its return as an (rarely specified) option. Starting in 1987, he Colony Park wagon was offered in GS and LS trim.
