This 1961 Mercury Comet is a project vehicle. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle is drivable and is mainly used for driving around car shows.
Vehicle Details
I thought I’d make it more of a Rockabilly type ride and think it would still be. A great project for any teenagers you have. Teaching kids how to take care of cars is always a helpful tool and perhaps a interest in the classics. I include most of the trim and chrome trim. The interior has a good looking dash w/o dents or scratches. The instrument panel isn’t hooked up but the new wiring is installed and has a 12V battery. The interior hasn’t been tackled other than removed the headliner. The seats are in good shape with the original black & white colors. I have the sound proofing available to be installed. The bed of the wagon is in good shape, no rust, does have a great “patina” all over and really lends itself not embarrassing to drive. Due to health issues and getting to the age of reality that projects that sadly can no longer be finished. I believe the price is reasonable for the motor and other stuff and money spent so far. It’s been garages as long as I’ve had it and “mama” would love to put her car there as well. I’ll try to load a short video in the next week. Happy to answer any questions ASAP.
