Description:

1966 Mercury Comet

Up for auction is a 1966 Mercury Comet. This is a project car that needs either a total restoration, or could be used as a donor car for another project. The body is fairly clean. The only rust issues I have seen are in the floor pans and the hood. Someone at one time tried to do patch work on the floor pans, but it was extremely amateur and sloppy. The hood has rust out on the forward lip. From what I can tell, the car is pretty much complete. The previous owner was attempting to do start a restoration. They removed some components, but didn't get much beyond that. I got the car several years ago with the intention of building a resto-mod out of it, but I just don't have the time or ambition with all the other projects in the works. The pictures speak for themselves. What you see is what is included with the sale. The front and rear bumpers, front grille and headlamp assemblies, tail lamps, and one rear finish panel were all removed, but they are here and pictured. The transmission is out of the car and disassembled in the trunk.I am not interested in parting the car out. I am selling it as a whole unit. This car does have a clean title in my name.If you have any questions or would like to see more pictures, please don't hesitate to reach out!I keep my auctions very simple. Don't bid if you have no intention to buy. Non payers with get negative feedback.I don't need help selling or setting up a PayPal account.Bidders with zero or negative feedback will be cancelled.I have the car for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early it the cars sells before the auction ends. There is a non-refundable deposit after the auction ends. All funds must be cleared and in my account before I release the car or title. The title is clean with no brands, and in my name.I will only accept certified funds or cash in person.I won't disclose my reserve upfront.Shipping/Transport of the car is the sole responsibility of the buyer.
