I think that's my last reduction on the price, no it's not mint condition, but it is in good shape for a 1985. Look on Ebay for ASC McLarens the last time I looked there were 3 for sale, ranging in price from 13k to 37k. makes this one look cheap Uh! Included in the price is a load of spares, some needed, some not, but worth having they include a hood scoop that I never fitted, cost over $500 painted at same timeas car, in same color. So get your wallets out, let the moths fly away and purchase this car. Old age (79) and poor health reason for sale,oh yea wife wants more space in garage.
Mercury Capri. ASC McLaren 5.0 Convertible, Serial number 141 of 186 built in 1985, these ASC McLaren Convertible's were only built for 3 years for a total production of 433. It is only a 2 seater, back seat removed by ASC to have roof stowage room when down. It is a Florida car and has been since first sold, I am the third owner, the mileage is showing on the 5 figure odometer as 13500, probably need to add a 1 in front of that, but it is being sold as per Florida law, as mileage exempt. It has been fully repainted (original color) and the seats were rebuilt and recovered. It starts, run's, drives and stops just fine. The roof is in good condition and the car looks great, the carpets are not the greatest but they are still useable. The vehicle is being sold as is where is, no warranties or guarantees given either verbally or in writing. Don't waste your time or mine, with crazy offers, only selling because of age/health, and it is an auction plus this is an extremely rare car, when did you last see one? Have a great day.
