1955 Mercury Montclair Hardtop Montclair

This is a true barn find survivor. It was purchased from the original owners children a couple of years ago. This car is the most original car I have ever seen, truly a time capsule! Original paint, interior, and drive train, 292 4 barrel-automatic, power steering and power brakes with only 30805 original miles!! The only rust of concern is on both front fenders behind the bumper as pictured, the rest of the car is very nice. Original trunk mat, and carpet that is all in amazing condition and look at that original interior, WOW!! I think the paint will clean up great but am leaving that to the new owner to uncover like a gift on Christmas morning! All stainless steel trim is in great condition and should clean up like new as well. Chrome has some pitting but should clean up ok and be presentable for a survivor depending on what level you want to take it too. The glass is all good in the car. I have the original title from 1955 along with the original owners manual and some service records. The info I got from the family is that it was believed to have last ran around 2010 or so. I have receipts showing new gas tank, fuel lines, misc. other services done early 2000s. The engine turns freely and I believe it would run with little effort, but again have not tried to do anything with it.
