Vehicle DetailsMercury Monterey 1964 convertible, NO RESERVE, I have owned this car for 7 years. It is super fun to drive and I love it. The body is super straight and rust free. I believe the paint to be original. It is getting thin in some spots from buffing over the years but is very presentable. I do not see were any repairs have been done to the body. The power top works as it should and all the windows operate was they should. I welcome all inspections. The engine and transmission were rebuilt in 2002 by the previous owner and I have the receipt. I had the rear end completely rebuilt in 2019. I had new duel exhaust installed. In 2021 I added 18 inch mag wheels and had the front end aligned with all new ball joints and bushings. I replaced the points with electronic ignition. I added a Edelbrock high-rise and 4 four barrel carburetor. I have all the original parts. Nice white wall wheels and tires, wire hubcaps, carburetor, intake and aircleaner all are included in the sale. If you are wondering why the car has Iowa plates, I moved back to Iowa for a while but I now live in Norfolk Virginia. I have driven this car on trips of 500 miles with no problems and I believe it ready to drive any distance. If you would like to fly into the Norfolk airport I would be glad to pick you up.
