1968 Mercury Cougar XR7 looking for the right owner who loves this car or muscle cars from this era to take it to a full restoration. Current owner bought it 12 years ago and lovingly restored it but now it must go.
- Original 302 engine, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning (a/c not working)- Upgraded to 4 bbl Edelbrock carburetor- New wheels and tires in 2009- Repainted in 2008, Augusta Green Metallic - original factory color- Frame rails reinforced and replaced- New exhaust system in 2011- New alternator, starter, ignition coil, voltage regulator, brake line, master cylinder, and battery- New interior front seat covers, back is original- New radio and aux cord (radio does not work)- Original parts including tires and wheels were saved and are available- Garaged last 12 years- Runs great and maintenance records for last 12 years are available.
NOTE ON MILEAGE: The odometer for the 1968 Cougar only goes to 99,999. While the current odometer says 6,468, we put less than 15,000 miles on it in 10 years.
