1967 Mercury Cougar XR7
Mercury Cougar XR7 5 Speed. Condition is Used.So the Family Legacy of this 1967 Motor Trend Car of the Year is deep. Two of my Sons were able to drive this car to their High School Senior Prom. Granted the initial 2001 Prom had to arrive as "S" surprised girl friend "A" and now Wife with no door handles because of parts late delivery. The Second Prom appearance was with the 5 Speed Upgrade and caused quite a stir at the drive thru entrance as I got to drive the car away to parking lot while the "E" escorted "A" into the Ball Room. Actually "E" was able to take "A" with the XR7 to prom in 2014 and 2015. This younger generation of high school were using smart phones to video the 5 speed gear changing because most had not experienced this type of vehicle. So for the record has proven to be very reliable.
My son and I are into road racing and our 20 year ownership of this glorious fine car has come to an end.
