1972 Mercury Grand Marquis

Here is a 1972 Mercury Marquis. I’m the 3rd owner. I love the old floaters and I think these cars with the hideaway headlights are very cool. It’s got a 429 cubic inch engine with a rebuilt 4 barrel carb. No smoke or any noises. Runs great. The car is super solid with a couple bumps and bruises on her. She almost 50 years old. However, the interior is very nice also. No rips in the seats and headliner is perfect. No cracks in the dash. Original radio works great too.I put a new windshield in it and from what I’ve found out, they are getting super rare to find. So if you currently need one for your current project, you better get it. I had quotes from 600 to 800 for just the glass alone. I also put new a tune up in her. Plugs, cap rotor ect. I also put a new 180 degree thermostat and flushed the radiator and engine and filled with prestone antifreeze good to -34 degrees.It’s got a newer alternator and master cylinder. The lights all work, it needs a flasher I think. They flash, but only if you move the flasher arm up and down on the column. The air conditioning needs recharging. The belt isn’t on the compressor. Previous owner stated the compressor turns when he applied power to it. The heater blows HOT, so you have great heat. It’s got an aftermarket CD player mounted under the dash. So the dash was never hacked up for the CD player. Tires have nice tread also. Anybody is more than welcome to come and inspect the car.
