1957 Mercury Monterey M-335 with NASCAR history
1957 Mercury Monterey Base
This is an unbelievable 1957 Mercury Monterey M-335 with great history, photos and documentation. The M-355 was originally built to meet the NASCAR requirements of the 100 production vehicles to be NASCAR legal. Ford contracted Bill Stroppe of Long Beach, CA to build 100 Lincoln 368 cu. In. with 355 hp for the 2 door Mercury’s. After meeting the requirements the engine was outlawed, but no before Tim Flock and the Meyers Brothers posted wins.
This actual vehicle was owned and restored by NASCAR legend Don Miller former President of Penske Racing. The restoration took place inMillers Racing Shop in NC.
This car is a show winner, with highly detailed engine bay, trunk and interior. The exterior paint, chrome and stainless are all show quality. The underside is beautifully un-restored and shows how clean this vehicle was before restoration. This is truly a one of a kind NASCAR history vehicle.
