1960 Mercury Monterey

1960 Mercury Monterey 2 door Hardtop. A true survivor with 59,180 miles with one very good repaint. Purchased this car 5 years ago with the intentions of driving it more, unfortunately I haven't that's why I am having to let it go. The vehicle is in great shape and presents itself very well inside and out. The vehicle has been kept indoors 100% the last 5 years. There are some blemishes and scratches on the paint(pictured), still very good driver condition. All the trim work is complete and in very good condition. The bumpers are also very nice with no dents and nice chrome. All the glass is in great condition. Under the Hood is a MEL 383 which recently has been completely gone through due to rotting freeze plugs. The engine was removed torn down and resealed with a fel-pro engine gasket kit. In the process the lifters were replaced as a preventive action and new valve stem seals were installed. The freeze plugs were all replaced and the engine was painted and reinstalled. Fires right off every time and runs smooth. The 383 is backed by a 3 speed auto trans that is in good working condition. The interior is complete and in great condition. The brakes have also been recently inspected and are in good working order. The brake system is still the original configuration with a single circuit master cylinder.
There are a few items that will need addressing, just don't have the time to complete these small projects; the factory gas gauge and temp gauge are not working. There is power and ground present so I feel that just the gauge needs to be replaced. A mechanical temp gauge has been installed as a temporary solution. The manual steering box has play when the wheels are straight. Leaks power steering fluid when parked for long periods of time..
