Up for auction is a 1968 Mercury Monterey 4 door sedan. 144,000 original miles.Lime frost metallic with green interior.390 engine, 2 barrel carb, automatic transmission, power steering, power front disc brakes, power windows, power front seat, power trunk and front seat headrests. It also has a full set of factory Mercury floor mats front & rear.
The engine runs, but smokes. I drove the car every day for a couple weeks in the summer for necessity.
The brakes work well. The transmission functions correctly. The car will only start in neutral.
The wipers, AM radio, heater fan, turn signals, outside lights, brake lights all function correctly.The horn, dash lights and power windows do not work. The power seat does not move forward or back, but the tilt buttons do.The power trunk did not work, but it has been repaired and functions correctly.A power trunk is an uncommon factory option in '68.
The body needs work, but there is no serious damage or rust issues.The car originally had a black vinyl top.I can send additional pics of the underside of the car or any other area.
