1970 mercury monterey 2 door southern car very clean

1970 Mercury Monterey

selling my 1970 mercury monterey 2 door project. car is in excellent shape for the year. my great grandmother bought this car new and it spent most of its life in new mexico. my father inherited it and drove it here from new mexico sometime around 1999 - 2000 he drove it daily for a few years until that gas tank started to leak and it has been sitting ever since. sometime in between then and now one of my brothers took the carb and valve covers off, maybe the rockers as well but i cant remember for certain.
the car is in excellent shape with very minimal surface rust in the drivers side rear quarter as seen in the photos. the interior is also in excellent shape with only some minor tears on the drivers side of the bench seat. the dash isnt even cracked.
paint is original and in decent shape aside from a scratch down the driver side.
wanted to keep this car and get it back on the road but im never going to get around to it with all the other projects i have going on.
