1951 Mercury Woodie This rare, fun and classy Woodie Project is being sold "as is." The owner was unable to complete it andthe Woodiestill needs wiring, some assembly, dash installed and a few parts. Car was running and driving and will again once carb is rebuilt.(We will have the car running and driving soon, the other items listed will still have to be done including the wiring and the dash) The shopwhere the car isnow is willing to complete it forapproximately $5,000 to $10,000 depending on what the buyer wants.(Please write us regarding what you might want the cost to do it) Or, ifthe buyer wants a project that is almost there but still needs a some work, and can be completed in their garage, this is a perfect project to still make your own. This '51 Mercury Woody was parked for the last 25 years and close to 100% complete.Very little rust was found and what was found has been repaired here at our shop. It is incredible to find one of these woodies this solid! We feel it is a very low mileage car.
This car has the sliding quarter windows. The tires are close to new, wide white wall. Most of the chrome and pot metal have been restored. The bumpers have been re-chromed and are true and straight. The grill was restored and polished. The tailgate folds down nicely, and the tail light hinges pivot smoothly. New, high quality two stage paint, color sanded and buffed. The original seatshave been restored and reupholstered. The car will start right up, run and drive soon. Stock motor and trans for the car, in excellent condition. The engine compartment is clean and organized and painted being restored. Inner window surrounds blasted primed and painted. All new stock wood interior panels on the car. Clear California title and new plates.
We are in Orange California about 1/2 of the way from Los Angeles to San Diego.
