1967 Mercury Cougar standard
90% Complete 1967 Trans Am Cougar Tribute. This cat started as a Standard Cougar with a 3 speed Stick out of theMid West. Every nut and bolt on this car has been off and build back from the bottom up. Minimal rust was removed and replaced.Color combination was modified from the Red/Silver toBlack/Gold with Custom Decals modified for thenew color combo.Built as a race car, so no back seat, heater, A/C or vacuum for headlights. All that remains is the details and gremlin chasing that comes with any old car project. I decided to leave the decals to the next owner. The car runs drives and stops fine. I have not tuned the brakes. I have not worked on the electrical system (lights, etc). Engine has a slight oil leak from the rear (could be break in pressure or rear main). Rear Axle Housing has bend on Passenger side and should probably be replaced ($400 for new housing here on EBAY)
