1972 Mercury Cougar XR7 351 Cleveland - Low Mileage
Price: -
Description:
I am the 2nd owner of this vehicle. It was owned and driven by (really!) a little old lady (family friend) who mostly went to Doctor and grocery store.
New items include battery, aluminum radiator, water pump, thermostat, radiator and heater hoses, brake booster hose, vacuum lines, plugs, points and rotor, distributor cap, plug wires. This engine is a 351 cubic inch of Cleveland design, came with 2-barrel carburetor but I have replaced the intake and carburetor (600CFM) with Edelbrock components. Most people I talk to say the 2-barrel heads are best on the street because the 4-barrel heads are too high-flowing for slower speeds. All original parts I removed come with the car. I also have the original bill of sale, a later registration, the build sheet, and of course the current VA title.I have been driving this car on the street some, and I have regular (not antique ) tags so the car had to pass VA safety inspection. The original owner had the seat belt on the driver side lengthened to fit her tiny size, so the shoulder harness doesn't align correctly for anyone much larger. Please email for more information if needed.Buyer will need to arrange shipping or local pickup.Payment - will require $500.00 non-refundable deposit within 3 days of sale through Paypal or money order, remainder of selling price to be paid with cashiers check or cash upon pickup. Title will be signed over at pickup. Thanks for looking, and good luck with bidding! This Lady has a lot of life and enjoyment left in her!! I am only selling her due to my age and health, and financial needs.Mileage listed is as of this posting. Car is also advertised for sale locally.
